Easy 2-Ingredient Homemade Whipped Cream
Elevate any dessert or baked good with this simple homemade whipped cream. With just two ingredients, you’ll create something far superior to store-bought versions. Best of all, you control the sweetness level and know exactly what goes into it.
I LOVE fresh whipped cream – on my coffee, on pancakes, on fresh fruit, on a homemade dessert, etc!

Within a few minutes, you have this delicious, rich whipped cream! It’s simply the best. When do you ever get to whip something amazing (pun intended) with only two simple ingredients?! Below are a few thoughts about ingredients.
Ingredients:
Heavy Whipping Cream – Available at most grocery stores. I recommend Aldi’s brand for its quality and price. If you have access to raw milk, you can use the cream that naturally rises to the top!
Sugar – I use unrefined, unbleached evaporated cane sugar from Costco. For a healthier alternative, you can use maple syrup.

Easy 2-Ingredient Homemade Whipped Cream
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
- 2 tbsp evaporated cane sugar
Instructions
- Pour the heavy whipping cream in the stand mixer bowl.
- Install the metal whip.
- Start whipping the cream at medium speed.
- When the cream start getting firmer, gradually incorporate the sugar.
- Whip until the sugar is all mixed in and the whipped cream is forming firm peaks. Don't overmix – otherwise you'll end up with butter! 🙂
- Serve immediately. Store the leftover and use within 4-5 days.
Notes
- Make sure all equipment is clean and ready before starting.
- Mix at medium speed – high speed isn’t necessary and can make the process harder to control.
- Focus on the mixing process: if you over-whip the cream, it will turn into butter. I learned this the hard way when I got distracted with other tasks!
